Teaching and Learning Transformation Center workshop for instructors:

Thoughtfully designed opportunities for students to revisit assessments can improve learning, strengthen retention, and encourage students to engage more deeply with feedback. But implementing retakes raises practical questions about fairness, workload, and course policies. In this workshop, we'll explore the evidence behind assessment reattempts, examine several practical models for incorporating retakes into a course, and discuss the advantages and tradeoffs of each approach. You'll leave with ideas you can adapt to your own teaching context in the fall semester.
