Do you think you might need a contract for your personal creative works? Are you intimidated by the legal language you see in contract documents? Would you like to better understand contract terms and how you can use them to help protect your own individual artistic, creative, or entrepreneurial pursuits? No matter your creative interest (writing, fine or performing arts, design, programming, etc.) this "Contracts 101" workshop is designed to provide you with a basic introduction to contracts.
In this in-person and online workshop, the Office of General Counsel will help you understand different types of contracts, interpret standard contract clauses, and identify existing resources for students and other members of the University community working on personal creative endeavors. This session is not intended to cover institutional or University contracts.
Don't miss this chance to hear from and ask questions directly of UMD lawyers.
