Teaching and Learning Transformation Center Course Design Retreat for instructors:

Spend two days with colleagues and TLTC staff to learn about evidence-based teaching practices and apply them to your own course design. We will engage in the process of backward design by writing effective learning outcomes, planning equitable assessments, and exploring ideas for student engagement. Other topics include syllabus construction, using ELMS-Canvas to support student learning, and creating a more inclusive classroom climate. If you have a course that you're designing, redesigning, or just thinking about creating, bring your materials to work on and get helpful feedback. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Participants may come and go throughout the retreat, so don't be deterred if you have one or two conflicts on your calendar.
