Centuries ago, intellectual property laws were developed to protect innovators and creators. Before that, there were few if any protections. So, how did these laws come into being? What drivers were responsible and what cultures led the way to transform the primitive laws then to the more sophisticated legal instruments we see today? From Romans to the Italian Renaissance to today, this presentation will explore the evolution of intellectual property law; this class will deal with the creation of patent laws.

Wednesday, February 26 | 12:00-1:00 PM

Presenter: Raymond Van Dyke, Technology and Intellectual Property Attorney, Patent Practitioner at Van Dyke Intellectual Property Law.
