The Maya Brin Residency Program and UMD Libraries are pleased to host the internationally-acclaimed Russian writer and cardiologist Maxim Osipov. An award-winning prose writer and chronicler of contemporary Russian life from the perspective of a doctor working in provincial Tarusa, Osipov left Russia in 2022 and is currently writer-in-residence at Leiden University.
