Got an idea? The U.S. patent system is designed to provide inventors with a mechanism to file for protection of a new idea. Raymond Van Dyke, a patent practitioner, and educator, will describe the procedures and rules for obtaining a patent, outline the requirements, and the benefits for patenting innovations. His program includes illustrations of famous inventions and inventors, describing their situations. Issues with using AI will also be addressed.
