Language House & Writers' House Poetry Open Mic

As part of the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures poetry week, and in anticipation of the SLLC Poetry in Conversation Event on Sept. 19, the Language House and the Writers' House will be holding a poetry open mic on September 17 at 6:30pm in St. Mary's Hall. Everyone is welcome to join us - you can read a poem you have written or share one of your favorite poems by any author, in any language!

• If you choose to read a work in a language other than English, you may briefly present the work in English before reading.
• You are also welcome to present a reading in a group.
• The length for each speaker is capped at 3 minutes.

There will be prizes for the best creative reading - feel free to be creative!
