Language House International Film Series: "The Shadow's Edge" with the Chinese Cluster

Join us for an international movie night at the Language House! The students of the Chinese cluster will be showing "The Shadow's Edge" on March 23 at 6pm in the International Film Lounge, 0107 St. Mary's Hall. In the film, a group of brilliant thieves steals assets worth hundreds of millions, then walks away without a trace thanks to their exceptional counter-surveillance skills—mocking the police’s “Sky Eye” monitoring system. With the investigation stalled, the Macau Judiciary Police bring back Huang Dezhong (Jackie Chan), a legendary tracking expert who has been retired for years. He mentors young officer He Qiuguo (Zhang Zifeng) and others, rebuilding a “mystery tracking unit,” and they eventually identify the gang’s hidden mastermind—the “Wolf King,” Fu Longsheng (Tony Leung Ka-fai). But just as the police set an airtight trap, the thieves unveil a trap within a trap. In a battle of wits, courage, and mind games, a high-stakes cat-and-mouse showdown begins…
