Language House International Film Series: 'Salir del ropero' with the Spanish Cluster

Join us for an international movie screening in the Language House, hosted by the students of the Spanish Cluster! We'll be screening the film Salir del ropero (So My Grandma's A Lesbian, 2019) on April 3 at 8pm in 0107 St. Mary's, the International Film Lounge. Everyone is welcome!

The film tells the story of Celia and Sofia, two elderly women who share their lives in a paradisiacal and secluded corner of the island of Lanzarote. Both finally decide to take the step of making their relationship public by getting married. However, this decision may jeopardize the wedding plans of Eva, Sofia's granddaughter, an ambitious lawyer about to marry the heir of a wealthy Scottish family with ultra-conservative values. That is why Eva, in collusion with Jorge, Celia's son, will try by all means to prevent the marriage between the two women.
