The 2023 SJA symposium theme is "Take a Knee": Pursuing Racial & Social Justice in Sports and will be held on Friday, April 28th from 10:00am to 2:30pm. The Symposium will be held at Bowie State University's Fine and Performing Arts Center, located at 14000 Jericho Park Road, Bowie MD. Professional athletes, coaches, sports journalists, and campus leaders will also be honored for their commitment to social justice and activism.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.

The Social Justice Alliance continues to honor the legacy of BSU student 1st Lt. Richard W. Collins III, who was murdered in 2017 by a UMD student.
