- Off Campus

Join us for an inspiring discussion on "Belonging Philanthropy"–an innovative approach being used to fund transformative research in education. In her lecture, Dr. Na’ilah Suad Nasir will discuss how the focus on “belonging philanthropy” and transformative research can address the current challenges facing education and work to create more equitable learning environments.
Dr. Nasir will delve into the role of philanthropy in bridging the gap between education research, practice and policy. She will share why the way we fund research is just as important as what we fund in our efforts to provide equitable education that helps young people thrive.
This year’s Dean Lecture Series will challenge us to rethink our definitions of high-quality education and explore new and innovative ways to partner with families, communities, young people, scholars, policymakers, educators, education system leaders and philanthropists.
