Specially Processed American Me

Did you know that beyond being a pantry staple, SPAM holds historical ties to US imperialism and has profoundly influenced Asian and Pacific cuisines and cultures? Join MICA and SEE on April 11th as we screen “Specially Processed American Me,” an autobiographical performance exploring creator Jaime Sunwoo’s Asian American upbringing and her family’s experience with the Korean war. A facilitated discussion on the film will follow.
