Sadat Forum: The Arab World in Tumultuous Times

As the Middle East undergoes a particularly turbulent period, it is the pleasure of the Sadat Chair to invite you to the first Sadat Forum of the year featuring His Excellency Nabil Fahmy, the new secretary general of the League of Arab States, to discuss “The Arab World in Tumultuous Times.” Ambassador Fahmy is a highly distinguished diplomat who has had an extraordinary career including serving as foreign minister of Egypt, ambassador to the United States, ambassador to Japan, and dean of the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the American University in Cairo. He will be welcomed by University of Maryland President, Dr. Darryll J. Pines. The forum will be virtual, through Zoom, and will take place on Monday, September 14 at 2:00 PM EDT.
