The American Association of Teachers of French National French Week 2025 is November 4-10, but as always- our department celebrates all month long! 

  • Le 5 novembre, 10-3, JMZ3106: Journée Portes Ouvertes. Join us for a department open house with café et croissants.
  • Le 5 novembre, 6-8, Language House Film Lounge: Soirée Film. Come enjoy pizza and a screening of Souleyman's Story. Check out the trailer here.
  • Le 6 novembre, 5-6, JMZ1205: “Politics Without Borders: U.S. Social Movements in the French Context." A reception conversation with Hervé-Thomas about his recent book, The Wokisme Controversy: The Americanization of Debates on Identity, Race, and Gender in France. Organized with Lambda Pi Delta, the French Student Fraternity.
  • Le 13 novembre, 4:30-6, JMZ1205: William Falls Lecture. Come hear Dr. Nathalie Frédéric Pierre's talk "Childish Bodies: From Invisible Traffick to Visible Debt." Details here. 
  • Le 15 novembre, 11:30-2:30: Outing to Planet Word Museum. Join members of our department and the Language House for a visit to Planet Word Museum followed by a picnic from Paul.

Note: If you are a member of the French Language cluster, RSVP here if you prefer to eat with us and RSVP with the Language House if you prefer to have lunch with them at Immigrant Foods. Do not do both!
