Movie Day: Crossing (2024)

Through a transnational and educational lens, this film screening invites participants to explore themes of migration, gender identity, and intergenerational learning across cultural and geographic borders. Come to the LGBTQ+ Equity Center (2411 Marie Mount Hall) on Friday, March 27th, from 2-4pm to watch the movie Crossing (2024) and eat themed snacks! No RSVP needed. All are welcome to attend. 

Movie description: “Lia, a retired teacher from Georgia, learns from her young neighbor, Achi, that her long-lost transgender niece, Tekla, has crossed the border into Turkey. In search of Tekla, Lia travels to Istanbul with the unpredictable Achi, where they explore the hidden depths of the city.”
