MICA Adventures: Let's go to Umpukan! DC's Filipino American Celebration

UMPUKAN, which means "gathering" in Tagalog, is DC's Filipino American History Month celebration and festival featuring art, food, music, local makers + community. Let's come together as a community to travel from College Park to DC and enjoy one another's company, explore our region, make friends, and eat good food! This event is hosted by Samsama, a DC-based cultural and community organization honoring ancestral and native roots with a commitment to true cultural diversity for our current and future generations.

Metro cards will be provided to those who register in advance at go.umd.edu/MICAAdventures as supplies last. We will meet at Noon on Sunday, October 4th at the College Park Metro Station.

MICA Adventures encourages the UMD community to go beyond College Park and explore the DC, greater Maryland, and Virginia area. Join us throughout the year as we travel to DMV area cultural events, museum exhibitions, and more! Our goal is always to minimize or eliminate financial and transportation barriers.
