The Lavender Leadership Honor Society (LLHS) celebrates and develops leadership to foster inclusion, especially across gender identity and sexuality. It is open to University of Maryland, College Park undergraduate and graduate students, and the university's staff, faculty, and alumni. The 2025-2026 structure of LLHS was designed to cultivate community, connections, and university-wide impact by incorporating year-round check-ins, community building and leadership programming, and projects led by university experts. Each year, the program concludes with an induction ceremony to honor new inductees.
Applicants will be selected based on their leadership skills and commitment to supporting people of all gender identities, expressions, sexes, and sexual orientations. Our definition of leadership encompasses the multidimensional ways we work towards building inclusive and vibrant campus communities.
