The University of Maryland welcomes distinguished alumnus Luke Lindberg back to campus for a special presentation on the intersection of international trade and financial policy.
Lindberg currently serves as the Undersecretary of Agriculture for International Trade and was recently nominated by the President to lead the World Food Programme, the world's largest humanitarian organization. A "Double Terp," Lindberg holds Master’s degrees from both the Robert H. Smith School of Business and the School of Public Policy.
Drawing on his leadership in the Department of Agriculture and his expertise in global markets, Lindberg will discuss current Corporate and Public Policy Issues in Finance. While hosted by the Smith School, this session has been opened to the wider student community to provide a unique perspective on how international trade policy shapes global humanitarian efforts and financial stability.
