The Post-Masters School Counseling Certificate Program invites everyone to view an exciting new documentary on May 7th. Titled Ultimate Citizens, the film chronicles the journey of Jamshid Khajavi, an Iranian American immigrant, public school counselor, and ultra-athlete. He aids immigrant and refugee children in Seattle in discovering their sense of belonging as they prepare to compete in the world’s largest Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Jamshid excels on the field alongside his students, demonstrating that love triumphs – one kid, chicken, ultra-endurance race, and friendship at a time. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. After the screening, we will host a discussion with the filmmakers. Attendance is free. Kindly RSVP by May 3rd.
