Dive into Ocean Data with Virtual Reality!
- To
- STEM Library

Sign up for a hands-on demo to explore ocean model output in a whole new way—through immersive virtual reality! Participants will get the chance to experience visualizations of ocean dynamics using the Quest 2 VR headset available at the John and Stella Graves Makerspace with ParaView, an open-source data analysis and visualization tool. This interactive session will highlight how experimental tools like VR can support oceanographic research, help interpret complex data, and inspire new ways of learning about the marine environment.
Come experience the visualizations in VR for yourself, and learn more about how the ocean is studied and how emerging technologies like VR could be useful in that process!
Registration is encouraged, but not required.
