Directions in Black Deaf Studies: Foundations and Concepts: Guest Lecture with Dr. Joseph Hill

Join the UMD's ASL Minor program for a special Deaf Awareness Month guest lecture featuring Dr. Joseph Hill, the director of the Center of Black Deaf Studies at Gallaudet University. His presentation will introduce the foundational concepts and lenses in Black Deaf Studies, spotlighting the histories, experiences, cultures, and contributions of Black Deaf communities. Dr. Hill will provide an engaging exploration of the field and its importance in understanding the diverse experience within the Deaf community.
