Denim Day with CARE!

For the past 20 years, Denim Day has been used internationally to make a statement in support of survivors during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. After an Italian Court ruled that a survivor of sexual assault must have consented as her jeans were so tight, she must have helped the perpetrator remove her pants The next day in a stance against victim-blaming, female members of the Italian Parliament arrived to work in jeans showing their support for the survivor being unjustly blamed.

On April 26th, show your support for survivors by wearing denim or jeans and stop by our tables at the Maryland Farmer’s Market 9am-2pm to learn more about Denim Day and how to support survivors! We will have crafts, resources, and CARE swag. Come join the Outreach Peers and speak out against victim-blaming!

Can’t get over to Tawes Plaza? We will also be tabling outside the STAMP! Stop by to share how you can ask for consent and some sweet treats.
