Women Artists of the DMV Exhibition Opening

Uncovering the breadth and creativity of female artists working today in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, UMD Libraries will showcase works by six local artists as a part of the exhibition “Women Artists of the DMV.” The exhibition will be available in the McKeldin Library Portico Room from September 19 through October 23, 2025.
The exhibition will open on September 19 with a reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. featuring a talk about teaching book arts in the studio by artist Kerry McAleer-Keeler, an Associate Professor of Printmaking and Book Arts/Art and Design at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design, George Washington University. Light refreshments will be served.
The exhibition and reception are both free and open to the public.
