Virtual Mental Health First Aid

Enhance your ability to support those around you with the online Mental Health First Aid training at UMD. This 9-hour (2 hours self-paced learning with 7 hours of instructor-led learning) teaches participants how to recognize and respond to mental health and substance use challenges using an effective action plan. Engage in role plays, scenarios, and discussions to build skills and confidence. Certification is valid for three years. The training is open to UMD undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff.

Note: Training sessions can fit up to 30 people.
