The University Senate will hold its final meeting of the spring semester and the 2025-2026 academic year. This will be the first meeting for newly elected University Senators. Elections will be held for the University Senate Chair-Elect. The University Senate will also vote on three items: the Interim Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program Policy (Senate Document #24-25-04), the Interim University of Maryland Policy and Procedures for Wearing of Helmets While Riding a Micromobility Vehicle on University Property (Senate Document #25-26-18), and the Instructional and Teaching PTK Faculty Workload Policy (Senate Document #24-25-15). The University Senate will receive remarks from President Pines, reports from outgoing Chair Dammeyer and incoming Chair Stickle. Director Marin will give a new Senator orientation as a Special Order.

The May 6, 2026 University Senate meeting will be held via Zoom. All Senators and Deans are given panelist links. Members of the campus community who wish to attend the meeting can join as an attendee by using the public Zoom link.
