University Senate Meeting

The Senate will attend to Continued Business from the December 2, 2025 University Senate meeting: Elections, Representation & Governance Committee Straw Poll for the Proposal to Amend Senate Bylaws Regarding Senate Committee Charges (Senate Document #25-26-10). The Senate will hear two Special Order Presentations. The first presentation, "Overview of the ADA Title II Regulations on Digital Accessibility: Spring 2026 Updates" will be given by Jeffrey Hollingsworth, Vice President, Division of Information Technology and Megan Masters, Director, Academic Technology Experience. The second presentation, "The Purple Line: Advancing from Construction to Testing & Operations" will be given by Courtney Brown, Senior Director, Office of Administrative Services. The Senate will vote on four items: Updates to the 2021 Plan of Organization Review Committee Slate (Senate Document #21-22-27), the PCC Proposal to Modify the Master of Public Health - Add Area of Concentration in Health Literacy and Public Health Communication (Senate Document 25-26-37), the Interim University of Maryland Consulting Policy, II-3.10(E) (Senate Documents #22-23-13 and #25-26-08), and the Special Committee on Policy Review Report (Senate Document #24-25-21).   

Location

The February 3, 2026 University Senate meeting will be held via Zoom. All Senators and Deans are given panelist links. Members of the campus community who wish to attend the meeting can join as an attendee by using the public Zoom link.
