ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Claus Hélix-Nielsen is a professor of water technology & innovation and head of the Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark. He also holds a professorship and leadership position on the chemistry and chemical engineering faculty at the University of Maribor, Slovenia. His research interests include biomimetic and smart materials for environmental engineering applications. He is president of the Danish Natural Science Academy and a fellow of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, and received the 2014 European Inventor Award from the European Patent Office. He serves on the board of CLEAN: The Danish Water and Environmental Cluster and TRACE: The Danish Public Private Partnership for Circularity.
