Teaching in Today's Climate

Teaching and Learning Transformation Center workshop for instructors:

If you’ve been thinking more carefully about how classroom conversations might unfold, or wondering how to approach course topics in a way that supports learning and avoids misunderstanding, you’re not alone. Many instructors are feeling more cautious lately, particularly if their courses focus on social issues, human experience, or current events.

This session will provide space to reflect on what it means to teach in this climate and explore approaches for planning and facilitating classes that foster learning, curiosity, and care. We’ll discuss challenges that may arise related to course content, classroom interactions, or student feedback, and share strategies and resources in a supportive community of colleagues navigating similar challenges in their teaching.
