Program Details:
- Event planning can be hard as a student organization. Knowing how to plan, where to start, and who to talk with isn’t easy.
- Come learn event planning tips, tricks, and guidelines from the various staff on campus who help make events happen.
- Interested students should RSVP, even if you are only able to stop by for part of the program, we would love to have you
- The experience is in-person, has free food and prizes!
Who should participate?:
If you are a student organization who is:
- Interested in hosting events at UMD
- Struggling with event planning
- Looking to ask questions of on campus venue managers in person
- Exploring ways to find funding for your program
- Searching for space to host your next event
Any member of a student organization can participate!
How will you benefit from participating?:
- Learn how to effectively plan and finance your events
- Meet with a community of staff dedicated to helping you host successful events through round table discussions
- Connect with peer student organizations from across campus and create new relationships
What should I expect?
- Prizes, which may include funding for room rentals in Stamp, projector, bluetooth speaker and more!
- Free Food Including: Union Pizza, Maryland Dairy, Desserts, and More!
- Topics Including: Catering Options, Budget & Finances, Event Planning 101, TerpLink, and Safety.
- Short presentation of information for event planning resources at UMD
