Story Time in Drag!

- McKeldin Library
In celebration of UMD Pride Month, the Libraries presents Storytime in Drag! Performers D’Manda Martini and Bella Naughty from Drag Story Hour DC Metro will read excerpts from several banned books.
This is an LGBTQ+ affirmative event—here at UMD Libraries we encourage you to live and read out loud ~ proudly together! This opportunity amplifies our values of democratization, stewardship, empathy, bravery, and transformation by creating a space to share ideas broadly. There will also be a table featuring banned books to be checked out. Join us for an uplifting afternoon with refreshments and connection in the special events room!
Check out our LGBT Studies research guide by Librarian Judy Markowitz.
This event is part of UMD’s celebration of Pride Month 2023.
