The UMD Latinx/o/a Employee Association (LEA) is thrilled to invite you to a virtual celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month on Tuesday, October 7 at 12:00 p.m.
Join us for an inspiring panel conversation, moderated by our very own Cynthia Martinez, Senior Director, Marketing & Communication featuring three of our distinguished deans:
Susan Rivera, College of Behavioral & Social Sciences (BSOS)
Rafael Lorente, Philip Merrill College of Journalism
Gustavo Flores-Macías, School of Public Policy (our newest dean!)
Together, they will share their personal journeys, challenges, and sources of hope and motivation—reminding us of the strength, resilience, and brilliance within our community.
This event is not only a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, but also an opportunity to uplift and honor the diverse voices, culture, and contributions that make UMD so vibrant.
