Husman Lecture: Global Warming in an Aging World features Dr. W. Larry Kenney, professor of physiology, kinesiology and the Marie Underhill Noll Chair in Human Performance at Penn State University. Dr. Kenney will discuss how global warming affects health and physiology in humans.
"The planet is warming and its population is aging," he said. "With an increased frequency, intensity and durations of heat waves, the following questions are increasingly relevant: How hot and humid is too hot and humid even for young, healthy adults? What about the ever-growing aged population who are most vulnerable? And finally, what does the future look like with projected climate change?"
A discussion will follow the lecture.
