- Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering
The annual HCIL (Human-Computer Interaction Lab) Symposium brings together top HCI thinkers and influencers from academia and industry for presentations on innovative research on UX, accessibility, and other HCI topics; demonstrations of new technologies; and discussions by key leaders in the HCI field.
Join us on May 25, 2023, as we celebrate 40 years of groundbreaking HCI research. This year’s presentations and panels highlight ongoing research happening in the lab. HCIL members will share their work on human-centered AI and NLP, data viz, accessibility, health & well-being, usable privacy & security, ed tech and more. We’ll reflect on how far we’ve come—and where we’re heading next.
Attend in person to pick up a swag bag, participate in workshops or tutorials, see all the presentations and panels, and network with other attendees at the poster session and reception. Or, if you can’t make it to campus, attend virtually to get access to all the talks. All registrants will have access to a recording of the talks after the event, as well as an event program with abstracts for each talk.
The symposium will take place Thursday, May 25, from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Preview the schedule here: https://hcil.umd.edu/hcil-symposium-2023/
