Teaching and Learning Transformation Center workshop for instructors:

Are you interested in developing a new course for UMD's General Education Program? Or getting an existing course approved? This information session will walk you through everything you need to know. TLTC is partnering with Doug Roberts, Associate Dean of General Education in the Office of Undergraduate Studies to bring you this session filled with helpful information.


You'll learn:

How General Education courses fit into the overall program and its goals

The specific requirements and process for proposing your course

Insider tips to create a winning proposal

Who reviews proposals and how decisions are made


Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to General Education, this session will provide key insights, answering common questions like:

What categories can I propose my course for?

How long does review and approval take?

What kind of explanation do faculty boards need to see?

Can I get feedback to improve my proposal?
