The UMD Symphony Orchestra and UMD Wind Orchestra combine for this annual
concert featuring members of the graduate conducting studios. Each conductor
selects the piece they want to perform and leads the ensemble in rehearsals. This
year’s performance features Mozart’s monumental “Gran Partita,” Brahms’ Tragic
Overture, selections from Puccini’s La boheme and Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s
Apprentice.
