Join us for the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland’s Fall Distinguished Lecture, featuring Dr. Rama ChellappaBloomberg Distinguished Professor of Engineering and Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in Ulrich Recital Hall, Tawes Hall. A reception will follow in the Tawes atrium from 5:00–5:30 p.m.

Dr. Chellappa is a pioneering figure in artificial intelligence, computer vision, pattern recognition, and machine learning. His contributions have shaped advancements in autonomous systems, biometrics, forensics, 2D/3D modeling, and AI-driven predictive tools in medicine—work that continues to influence research and innovation across disciplines.
