University Senate Meeting

  • To
The University of Maryland M Circle.

The Senate is a governing body composed of faculty, staff, students, and administrators that are peer-elected, volunteer, or appointed. Together, it advises the University President on virtually all campus policy matters and concerns. The Senate meets four or five times per semester (typically once a month), with special meetings scheduled as necessary. The materials for Senate meetings are made available to the public via the Senate website one week prior to each scheduled meeting. The Senate Chair presides over each meeting. Meetings are now via Zoom. More info at https://www.senate.umd.edu/sen.... During this special meeting, Senators and members of the campus community will have the opportunity to learn about the University's new Strategic Plan.
