Senate Meeting

At the first Senate meeting of the year, the Senate will hear information items on 2022-2023 Senate Legislation Log and the Review of the Student Codes of Conduct: Code of Student Conduct and the Code of Academic Integrity. The Senate will vote on four proposals: the 2022-2023 Committee & Council Slates, PCC Proposal to Establish a Bachelor of Science in Global Health, Proposal to Amend Bylaws of the University Senate: inclusion of the process for Intellectual Property Committee membership, Revision to the Final Exam Provision in the University of Maryland Policy on the Conduct of Undergraduate Courses and Student Grievance Procedure. Veronica Marin, the Director of the University Senate, will give an orientation.

The Senate is a governing body composed of faculty, staff, students, and administrators that are peer-elected, volunteer, or appointed. Together, it advises the University President on virtually all campus policy matters and concerns.
