The Senate will welcome President Pines who will give his 2023 State of the Campus Address. There will be two additional special order presentatons; one from Peter Sunderland, Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee, presenting on the Interim University Policy on Full-Time Faculty Workload and Responsibilities; and the other from Reka Montfort, Director, Research Transparency & Outreach, presenting on the Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment Policy.

The Senate will vote on one Programs, Courses, and Curricula Committee proposal: to Establish a Post-Master's Certificate in Supporting Immigrant Students for Professional School Counselors. The Senate will also vote on the Review of the Interim University of Maryland Policy and Procedures on the Naming of Facilities and Programs.

The Senate is a governing body composed of faculty, staff, students, and administrators that are peer-elected, volunteer, or appointed. As Senators and Senate Committee members, these constituents directly participate in the shared governance of our University. Together, it advises the University President on virtually all campus policy matters and concerns. More information can be found at
