Latinx Heritage Celebration Dance Workshop

In this program, Dr Barbara Bernstein will explain the history of Latinx Heritage celebrations and the role of music and dance in Latin culture. Students will learn the underlying dance rhythms of the popular Latin club dances and then provide some dance instruction. If time permits there may be some social dancing so participants can try out their moves! A written summary of basic Salsa steps can be provided which is great for review.

This event will be held on the Eastern side of McKeldin Mall- the side of the Mall closest to Main Admin starting at the East side of the fountain.
