Join us as we inaugurate the Charlotte Brozer Shapiro Library of Jewish Women's Studies in the Meyerhoff Center Library and celebrate the rich history of Jewish women's contributions to the feminist movement and the field of academic women's studies. Our panelists include; Evelyn Beck, Emerita Professor of Women Studies at UMD, Lisa Leff, Professor of History at American Studies, Shirelle Doughty, Doctoral candidate in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at University of California, Berkeley, and Mindy Shapiro, First student to graduate UMD with a major in Women's Studies.
