Data Science and GIS Spring Workshop Series in white text on a purple and blue background

GIS Science/GIS workshop series is powered by GIS and Data Service Center, and Research Education at University Libraries. This workshop series offers introductory to advanced level skills in GIS, Data Science, Data Visualization among others.

Spatial Statistics is an applied discipline of statistics that focuses on the analysis and interpretation of data with a spatial or geographic component. In this workshop, you will learn the foundational concept of spatial statistics and highlight its uniqueness compared to traditional statistical methods. Various software options, both licensed and open source, are available for performing spatial statistics to facilitate informed decision-making. However, this workshop will specifically offer an overview of statistical tools in ArcGIS Pro, a widely used licensed GIS software, covering key techniques such as hotspot mapping, spatial autocorrelation, clustering, and regression analysis among others.

Participants in this workshop are expected to have introductory GIS knowledge but not required.or your audience by unifying web maps, apps, pages, interconnected widgets, and both 2D and 3D data through a flexible drag-and-drop interface. Configure how your web app looks on different screen sizes and deploy it within your organization or to the public. Build custom widgets, themes, and actions with low-code development to further extend your web app. This workshop will offer an introduction to Experience Builder and provide support as you build your own custom web app!
