School of Public Health

The School of Public Health was established in 2007 to advance a better state of health for the diverse populations of Maryland and beyond. Our school builds upon a foundation of disciplines that originated over 150 years ago when our land grant university was established.

The School of Public Policy puts our students in the center of policy creation locally, nationally, and internationally and is home to an unmatched group of faculty who are both scholars and practitioners, teaching in the classroom while playing key roles in the policy-making process.

A 318,000-square-foot performing arts complex on the UMD campus that houses six performance venues; the UMD School of Music; and the UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies.
