“The Weight of Honor” Screening & Panel Discussion

When: Wednesday, November 13, 2019 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Where: Adele H. Stamp Student Union, Colony Ballroom
Description: Join Veteran Student Life, in partnership with the George Washington University Military & Veteran Services, for a screening of the award winning documentary "The Weight of Honor" followed by a panel discussion.

The film is the first comprehensive documentary to chronicle the lives of families caring for their catastrophically wounded returning from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It follows the arc of what happens when some of America's best and strongest volunteer to protect our nation, but return home physically and emotionally broken and disillusioned. It is a personal journey not only for our wounded veterans, but also for their family caregivers.

The discussion panel features the documentary's director, Stephanie Seldon Howard, and special guest, Timothy Brown, President of Georgetown University's Student Veteran Association and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, and will be chaired by STAMP Director Marsha Guenzler-Stevens.
Topical Areas: Alumni, Faculty and Staff, Open to Public, Parents, Students, Prospective Students, Arts, Entertainment and Culture, Health and Wellness
